I am Christopher Bennett, born and raised in Colorado. Since a young age, I have had a passion for painting and drawing. During my college years, my art professor Mell Carter played a significant role in encouraging and guiding me to pursue art more actively, which has shaped my artistic journey.

In my career, I have explored various ways of creating and presenting art. I have transformed my studio into immersive art experiences by painting the floors, walls, and ceilings differently each month. Additionally, I enjoy traditional art presentations using canvas, paper, large-scale scrolls, rocks, and even body painting. I have worked with different mediums such as gouache, watercolors, oil, acrylic, chalk, and mixed media. I have showcased my artwork at numerous art shows and events.

One notable project I embarked on is the 52-Bird-Painting Project. My goal was to paint a different bird each week over the course of a year while connecting with people worldwide through social media. I invited people to suggest a bird and a setting for me to paint. Despite the challenge of completing a painting each week, I remained determined, and the project became an enriching journey of discovery. Through this project, I formed meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing the power of art and birds to connect people regardless of cultural or language differences.

Currently, I am the co-chair of the Central Park artist group in my local community. This role allows me to bring the community together through creative demonstrations and classes. I find joy in fostering connections and collaborations within the artistic community. I have also been conducting successful and enjoyable watercolor classes centered around painting birds. My interests lie in continuing to explore the world of birds, meeting new people, and creating art through these connections. I aspire to showcase my artwork in different countries and expand my artistic horizons.
